Disappointed! These cartons tear on the back seam the VERY first time you fold them over. Definitely not reusable for my egg biz They are a one and done carton.

    Hi Marsha,

I am so sorry about this!

These are cartons are made by the biggest flat top carton manufacturer in North America. The majority of the flat top cartons you see at every grocery store in the US are made by this manufacturer.

Unfortunately, there's a recycled paper shortage at the moment. They're using more cardboard than paper in the pulp blend as a result so the cartons aren't as flexible or smooth. With all of this being said, these cartons shouldn't be ripping left and right.

For the future for unpacking your cartons, we recommend loosening the bundle up by knocking it around a little bit like you would with a bag of ice but gentler. This will loosen the bundle up and make them easier to denest.

Since these cartons are a paper product, they will rip if you pull them too hard.

    Lower quality than prior orders

Hello. It seems that the egg cartons are a little lower quality and a little more flimsy than the pulp cartons we have ordered from you in the past. Maybe you got a new supplier? Also appeared on the back of the carton is a stamp with a barcode and a manufacturers logo. We’re not used to that either. We are still thankful for you and your cartons are serving their purpose. If there is a way to go back to your old supplier or a more high-quality carton, I think that would be nice.

    Hi Michael,

I'm not sure what happened here! We have not changed vendors.

These egg cartons are made by Pactiv. They are one of the biggest producers of egg cartons in North America. Half the eggs you see at the grocery store come from their facilities. We've been getting cartons from them for over 20 years. The molds and printing on the back of the carton have not changed.

Their current recycled pulp mixture may be less durable. Can you send photos or videos of what you're referring to?
