    break apart 6 egg cartons..

    They are ok. too flimsy and tend to break apart very easily and not wanting to hold up to 12 at a time. They are ok and we will use for folks that just want 6 at a time. did purchase the styrofoam cartons which are a lot more sturdier.

    The idea behind a 6-egg split carton is to easily be split and be able to transport a smaller quantity of eggs at a time, most customers who order these buy them to hold six eggs. They are designed to break apart easily - we have had customers in the past say they were too sturdy. I apologize that they didn't do what you needed and maybe the cartons that are made for a dozen eggs are better for you, such as the styrofoam you ordered.

    my egg cartons

    I was a bit upset that i had to pull them apart. I can cut a dozen box in half . They will do but I won't buy them again.

    The split cartons are designed this way to be pulled apart if a 6-egg carton is needed or to be kept whole for a full dozen. We do also sell 6-egg cartons separately for your future order.

    Carton too thin.

    I love everything about these 6 packs except that the carton is too thin and weak and rips very easily.
