10" Heavy Duty Wire Egg Basket

This egg basket is made with heavy duty, durable wire! It has a wire mesh bottom to hold smaller eggs securely in place. The mesh bottom makes it great for Quail, Bantam, and Chukar Eggs! The coated wire cushions the eggs to protect them from breakage and protects basket from corrosion when washing eggs (We sell egg wash too!). Handle is also coated to be easy on your hands. Pleasant green color. Great for floral arrangements also! The baskets have a tapered design which allows nesting of multiple baskets.

Too expensive

Way too expensive with the shipping. Golf ball baskets on Amazon are way cheaper.

I am sorry to hear this. We have over 100 sku's and many of our skus have 5+ levels of pricing. They also almost all have totally different shipping and product costs (and the shipping costs vary by price tier and shipping zone).

For these reasons, it takes us a considerable amount of time to price each item. As a result, we price all of our products as low as possible from the get go.

Egg Basket, 10" Heavy Duty

Egg Cartons.com is wonderful (says my 95 almost 96 year old mother and keeper of a small (30-40ish) flock of hens, "the cartons practically come before I order them”.
We ordered the Egg basket to replace one that lost a handle, but were a bit sad that it was shorter than the old model that we’ve used for decades. My daughter put together a handle from her bent basket, and my basket that lost it’s handle and that will do, and my daughter will get the 10” one that is too short for my liking. Wondering if you will get the old ones back? 10” wide and perhaps 10” tall…. Thank you.

The basket you are referring to we have recently sold out of and have discontinued that specfic basket.

We are happy to hear that you are enjoying our 10' basket. I'm sorry it is on the smaller side for you - unfortunately that is the biggest basket we sell as it holds 6 dozen eggs, and our other baskets hold a little less than that.

Hi Ed! Yes, the basket that you purchased is different than the one that come in the egg wash kit. That basket is the 10' Wire Egg Basket, it has the same top diameter as this one but is taller than the 10' Heavy Duty Wire Egg Basket purchased. Because of the construction, and larger size of the bottom this basket actually. can hold more eggs even though it is shorter!
