The cookbook contains 300 egg and chicken recipes. The recipes are for all types of cooking from pies and cakes to main dishes and soups. These recipes were collected from members of the North American Marans Club, their friends and supporters. You'll find recipes from Martha Stewart, Mrs. Wingdo Fletcher of Wingdo's Roost, Christine Willard and Ed Hart of the SPPA, egghead of PPIE, Glenda Heywood of the National Poultry News, Derry Watchorn of the British Marans Club, Jim Fegan of the American Australorp Breeders Club, the current and past members of the club. The cookbook design was done by Trish Foss, Pam Hogan and Marcia Delaski Sample Recipe From the BookBaked Stuffed Chicken (A Wonderful Recipe) 6 to 7 pound Marans chicken 1 cup melted butter 1 cup stuffing 1 cup uncooked popcorn Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Brush chicken well with melted butter and salt and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with neck end toward the back of the oven. Listen for popping sounds. When the oven door blows open and the chicken flies across the room, it is done. AND YOU THOUGHT I COULDN'T COOK!
